REMEMBER !!!

Volume is the amount of space occupied by matter!

2 bottles of the same shape and size can have the same volume, but it does not mean that the mass is the same!

1 bottle can be made of plastic, while the other is made of a heavier material like metal, so the mass can be different!!

Definite = fixed = won't change

Liquid has definite volume.
Solid has definite volume and shape.

~ Thor ~

Remember the short story of Thor and His Missing Hammer that I'd read today?

Below is a short trailer of the upcoming Thor movie that would be shown in Cinemas later this year.

Thor is the lightning and thunder god and he gets his power from the mallet (something like a hammer) that he wields.

~ Wednesday: Estimation ~

Estimation:

373 x 4

You have to round off 374 into a number that is easiest for you to do the multiplication.

So you round it off to the nearest hundred, you will get

400 x 4 ~ 1600

* Always remember to round off the number into another number that you can multiply easily(mentally) when doing an equation that involves estimation.

Homework:
1) Math Activity Book do until Pg.44

~ Wonderful Angels @ Work ~

Dear Angels,

Two weeks ago when most of you left school daily at 1 p.m. , some of your good friends actually volunteered to stay back to decorate your classroom.

I am very happy to see so many wonderful Angels in 4-4 who love to play a part in beautifying their classroom!

The wonderful angels are: Audrie, Atikah, Audrey, Geanette, Haney, Rou An, Elias, Clement, Josiah, Indra and Danish

Also, special thanks go to 3 of your classmates who are so nice to contribute some lanterns and pictures to help with the decorations too! They are Yuan Lin, Atikah and Chun Jie!

Remember to give these wonderful angels a pat on their back and thank them for creating a beautiful 4-4 classroom!  =)

~ Tuesday ~

Today, 4-4 Angels took their Math and Science Tests. I shall see how they will fare.

From the tests, I will know who are the diligent and responsible pupils who do their revision at home regularly and had paid attention while I was teaching.

I hope all of you will enjoy your Chinese New Year Celebration in school tomorrow! It's a pity that I will not be able to join all my angels for the celebration. :(

Anyway, remember to wear either your school uniform or RED top, any bottom + school shoes !!

May all the Angels have a Happy and  Prosperous Lunar New Year !!
